5% of our profits from the Betty Basics Essentials Range fund the Betty Cares Foundation

The Betty Cares Foundation provides clothing packs to vulnerable women around Australia that are in hospital or refuge care.

These women are often victims of difficult situations, such as domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, alcoholism and drug addiction. They are admitted into hospital during serious illness, pregnancy complications, labour, or after suffering a violent attack. They often arrive with nothing and nobody to turn to.

We believe all women deserve dignity and comfort, whatever their circumstance and without regard for status.

We offer support to vulnerable women through a range of initiatives including our Betty Cares Packs – because the first step to a more positive future can be the smallest of gestures.

What started as a small donation of clothes to the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne has now grown into a foundation that passionately supports vulnerable women throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Having grown from a wholesale clothing company that provides fashion to major stores and boutiques, we truly value the positive influence that comfortable and well-made clothing can have
on women.

Inside our Betty Care Packs are basic essentials from our Betty Basics range – a top, pants, cardigan, underwear and a backpack.

We gift these Betty Care Packs to hospitals around Australia, who gift them to the women they look after who need them most.

“The sense of wellbeing and dignity that comfortable, well-made clothing can make for women is immeasurable”

Penelope Vye, The Royal Women’s Chief Social Worker
